IDOM
Rm. 224

Founded in 2006 by designer Modi Soondarotok, IDOM is a Portland-based fashion boutique with an in-house label of the same name. Designed for the fashion-forward woman, the IDOM label features clean, modern, and original designs by Soondarotok. The IDOM boutique is committed to featuring additional designers who not only create fashion-forward garments, but do so with an eye towards social responsibility. A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Soondarotok moved to United States at the age of 12. Her zeal for fashion has taken her to study fashion design and art history at the Royal College of Art in London, Ecole Parsons in Paris, and at the acclaimed Parsons School of Design in New York City where she earned a fashion design degree. Soondarotok has worked for world renowned designers in London, Paris and New York. She has also worked as a visual merchandiser for famous department stores and boutiques in New York and has done extensive styling work for Dutch Vogue.

In April of 2010 Evangelina Owens and her husband, Miles Johnson, joined forces with IDOM. Owens, a trained photographer who spent her teenage years in South Africa, and Johnson, a painter and graphic designer, travel the globe hunting for treasures for IDOM. Together, Soondarotok, Owens and Johnson share in a commitment to support designers and artisans from around the globe.
