Family Name
Rm. 214

1978 was a good year for driving around in a VW bus. For wearing your hair long. For seeing mountains, canyons, deserts, and oceans. For holding hands with your sweetheart. 1977 was also the year my dad conjured a line of jewelry, inspired by his connection to the earth, love of nature, and his understanding of healing gemstones.

Family Name is a collection of jewelry designed by Emily Katz in collaboration with her father, Michael Katz. This leaf based line of rings, earrings, and necklaces in silver and gold vermeil are enhanced by all natural, organic and untreated gemstones.

Emily also includes limited edition pieces of pyrite she personally harvests on hikes in the NW. These stones are set in silver as pendants. 15% of all proceeds from the limited edition pieces are donated to BARK, an Oregon non-profit organization that works to save the forests on Mount Hood.
